Example1
"Learning Design from Local Marine Life"
Organizer: Umigyara CHILL OUT
Planner: Shu Nakachi (Natural History Lab.)

Using shells of gastropods from the waters of Southwest Shikoku, participants created cross-section specimens to observe their internal structures. Additionally, they used these specimens as stamps to create artwork.
This program aimed to explore the biodiversity of the region and the aesthetic beauty of natural forms through hands-on activities. Participants also learned about the relationship between function and form in biological structures and their evolutionary/adaptive significance, fostering both a scientific perspective on nature and an appreciation for beauty.
Example2
Painting Inspired by The Seashell Gallery
Organizer: Umigyara CHILL OUT
Planner: Hiroko Shimizu (The Seashell Gallery)

The Seashell Gallery is filled with artistic creations and structures that reflect the passion of Kazuo Kurohara, Masako Hayashi, and others.
This "Homage Program" encouraged participants to select the works or places that resonated with them the most and create their own paintings based on their inspirations. The focus was not on artistic skill but on developing a sense of empathy and connection with the environment and artistic works of Tosashimizu.
Example3
"Rediscovering the Architectural Charm of Tosashimizu"
Organizer: Tosashimizu City Lifelong Learning Division
Planner: Kosin Yoshimoto (Former Tosashimizu City Official)

This is an architectural tour program that explores public buildings in Tosashimizu City, including The Seashell Gallery and local school architecture. A specialist from The Seashell Gallery (a first-class architect and heritage manager) served as the guide.
The tour was designed to help participants rediscover the charm of their hometown’s landscape and deepen their appreciation for the region. It was held as part of the 70th anniversary celebrations of Tosashimizu’s municipal government.
